“Mavin Khoo is a Malaysian-born dancer who trained in bharat natyam dance in India and other dance forms in London and the US. For his latest show, Devi, at the Royal Opera House's Linbury Theatre, he and former Royal Ballet dancer Ann de Vos perform a suite of neoclassical dances by Laurent Cavanna, of Siobhan Davies Dance Company, while Indian singer Pushkala Gopal and African-American counter-tenor Michael Harper give vocal expression to Sufic poetry and tantric texts celebrating the feminine countenance of God.”

Erica Jong and Tantric Sex
6:46 AM Posted by 4 Freedoms Energy Sex in Conscious Relationship
Erica Jong “used to think the whole tantric sex thing was ‘utter bull . . . raising the kundalini, yoga poses in tandem, mysteries of the East and all that rot.’ Then she tried it.
‘It's really not about some technique,’ says Jong, who divides her time between Manhattan and Connecticut. ‘It's being so close to someone that you can feel what they feel. There are spiritual things that you can't describe.’”

These are comments from David Barrett’s review of the book Why Mrs Blake Cried, by Marsha Keith Schuchard.
“The sexual-spiritual influences on Blake began with his parents. At the Moravian church in Fetter Lane, London, they sang hymns envisioning Jesus in the most erotic language - men should have an erection when worshipping God. They were taught, in great detail, the delights of the marriage bed: ‘When my dear husband / lets his oil sizzle in me... this grace is a sacrament’
.
Blake's other spiritually erotic influences included the mystic Emanuel Swedenborg, Kabbalistic teachings, Yogic mysticism and Hindu images. Blake and his freethinking friends lived at the centre of a maelstrom of sexualised spirituality, or spiritualised sexuality. In one of his drawings a nude woman is shown with a Gothic chapel in her vagina.”

“The work commonly called ‘The Tibetan Book of the Dead’ has been an enduring classic among Westerners since its original translation into English by Lama Kazi Dawa Samdup and W.Y. Evans-Wentz in 1927. But…the original Tibetan volume, actually called ‘The Great Liberation by Hearing in the Intermediate States,’ is only one section of a much longer compendium of Tibetan Buddhist teachings, part of a cycle of texts revealed in the 14th century by the Tibetan Buddhist adept Karma Lingpa. Like other such revealed material from the Tibetan ‘Treasure’ tradition, these texts are said to have been merely discovered by Karma Lingpa but written in the 8th century by the great Tantric adept Padmasambhava, who was a key figure in introducing Buddhism to Tibet and whom Tibetans hail as a second Buddha.

Tantric Tools for Spiritual Growth
7:34 AM Posted by 4 Freedoms Energy Sex in Conscious Relationship
“In Tantric cosmology, the entire universe vibrates with pleasure and desire; Tantrics understand the ever-unfolding process of creation in explicitly erotic terms—the attraction and union of male and female polarities, "Shiva" and "Shakti" in the Hindu Tantric tradition. Thus, in Tantra, the experience of pleasure on an individual, microcosmic level evokes the universal process. At peak moments of pleasure, the practitioner has an opportunity to experience merger—a state of union (or Yoga) with all that is.”
