"Spiritual Healing And Connection Through Tantra Massage"by Dr. Rose Windale, Health & Wellness Coach

"You may have heard of Tantra massage. The term is quite prevalent from online and offline sources. Your initial notion of this form of massage is that it is of a sexual nature. Tantra massage is sexual in a way. It is a sensual practice and experience as well. When you think of sensual and sexual pleasure, you would primarily connote it with physical or baser fulfillment.
But you should know, Tantra massage is a spiritual practice, and it goes way beyond touching the skin. Sensual and sexual pleasure incited in Tantric massaging is for a far more profound purpose, and it is of the spiritual aspect. Sensuality and sexuality in this practice are simply means to a higher end.
Other than enhancing sexual energy, Tantra massage aims on awakening another yet powerful energy- the Kundalini. The Kundalini is a potent essence lying dormant at the base of the spine. Through Tantra massage, the Kundalini energy is stimulated, rising up the spine. Potent the Kundalini is, it allows the body to heal itself more quickly.
Then there are the chakras, said to be a disk or wheel found at the center of the body’s energy. There are seven chakras running along the spine. Activating the chakras stimulate the body’s healing process as well. When these powerful and essential energies in the body are awakened, it paves the way for physical, emotional and spiritual rejuvenation."

The Kriya Yoga

"The Path of Kriya Yoga"www.rikhiapeeth.net, January 26, 2009
"Awakening of kundalini is very difficult. You can try the various yogic and religious practices that have evolved throughout the ages, but they require a lot of self- discipline and demanding austerities. There are so many do’s and dont’s that the average person finds un palatable. Therefore, the Rishis of the Tantric tradition evolved a series of practices that could be easily adopted by every type of aspirant regardless of his lifestyle, habits, beliefs, and so on. Of course there are many practices belonging to Tantra, but of them all, Kriya Yoga is considered to be the most powerful and suitable for the modern day man who is enmeshed in this world.
For many years, knowledge of this system of yoga was revealed to very few. The practices were mentioned in the tantric texts, but they were never clearly defined. Through a tradition, the practices were handed down from guru to disciple. They were given to both house holder and monastic disciples, who soon discovered that through these techniques, kundalini became a reality and a real experience in their lives. The ultimate purpose of Kriya Yoga is to create awakening in the Chakras, to purify the Nadis, and finally, to awaken the Kundalini Shakti. The kriyas are intended to awaken the kundalini in stages and not abruptly."

"Tantra and Kundalini Yoga"www.inner-tranquility.com, January 19, 2009
"These are sciences which use various exercises, breathing patterns, and visualizations to activate, balance, and transmute our primal energies. As the polar energies (Shiva/Shakti, heavenly/earthly) come into balance, Kundalini begins to flow much more powerfully. Typically visualized as a coiled serpent residing at the base of the spine, this energy begins to rise and activate each Chakra in turn. There is a tendency for this energy to be attracted to whatever needs to be healed emotionally and physically. As we heal our fear, pain, and anger, we begin to experience more abundance, pleasure, and empowerment. Our bodies become stronger, our minds live in more peace and bliss. As Tantra enrolls the enormous power of our senses and sexuality in this process, this requires some delicacy in fine tuning the practices for the individual. Too much energy too fast can emotionally and physically unbalance the practitioner. I have even seen some teachers of these arts, particularly those who adopt aggressive cathartic techniques, damage their bodies, emotions, and relationships permanently. On the other hand, with judicious and sensitive energy management, these traditions remain among the most effective technologies for transformation that we have."

Tantric sex within Hinduism

"Tantric Sex"testimo118.blogspot.com, January 19, 2009
"Tantric sex within Hinduism"
Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world, after Christianity and Islam. It is centered mainly in India. The origin of Tantra has been lost to history. The earliest form of Tantra sex may have been a method of generating bodily fluids as an offering to Tantric deities. The rituals may also have evolved from clan initiation ceremonies.
Tantric texts state that sexual activity can have three separate and distinct purposes: procreation, pleasure and liberation. Those who use tantric sex to seek liberation abstain from reaching an "... orgasm in favor of a higher form of ecstasy." 1 Guidance from a guru (teacher) is of primary importance. Tantra is normally considered appropriate only for those "... individuals whose temperament and self control will enable them to forego sexual indulgence." 2 During ritual sex, the male participant represents the god Shiva; the female represents the goddess Kundalini Shakti. At the same time, "... each participant experiences a fusion of their own Shiva and Shakti energies." 2
Contrary to Western belief, Tantric sex was only practiced by a minority of Hindu Tantra sects. Many of those groups that practice sexual Tantra do it symbolically rather than physically.

Tantra of Sound

"Harmonizing with Tantra of Sound"earthharmonyhome.com, January 19, 2009
"One of the highest levels of tantric practice involves resonating and harmonizing oneself with sound! This is done in order to enhance and energize our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual essence. Both the Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist Tantra stress the power of sound. Sound, in fact, is the basis of much tantra—through working with advanced sound techniques, tantric practitioners are able to harmonize themselves in body, mind and spirit.
It was through our work at Healing Sounds, exploring various sonic practices from the Eastern traditions that we came upon the concept of TANTRA OF SOUND. We have discovered, through years of working together using sound, easy methods of achieving this harmonizing effect that the Eastern mystics described. This desired harmony and balance of body, mind and spirit can be both safely and efficiently practiced by utilizing specific techniques and exercises."

Tantra and Ganja

"Influence of Ganja in Hinduism"wtlbreaks.blogspot.com, November 21, 2008
"Ganja held a preeminent place in the Tantric religion which evolved in Tibet in the seventh century A.D. Tantrism was a religion based on fear of demons. To combat the demonic threat to the world, the people sought protection in plants such as ganja which were set afire to overcome evil forces.
In the tenth century A.D. ganja was extolled as indracanna, the "food of the gods". A fifteenth-century document refers to ganja as "light-hearted", "joy-full" and "rejoices", and claimed that among its virtues are "astringency", "heat", "speech-giving", "inspiration of mental powers", "excitability" and the capacity to "remove wind and phlegm".
Today in the Tantric Buddhism of the Himalayas of Tibet, ganja plays a very significant role in the meditative ritual to facilitate deep meditation and heighten awareness. In modern India it is taken at Hindu and Sikh temples and Mohammedan shrines. Among Fakirs (Hindu ascetics) bhang is viewed as the giver of long life and a means of communion with the divine spirit. Like his Hindu brother, the Musalman fakir reveres bhang as the lengthener of life and the freer from the bonds of self. "

Male Tantric Sex Orgasm

"Tantric sex and multiple male orgasms"sexguide.93vs.com, December 30, 2008
"Men in general have a rather limited view of their own sexual pleasure. First and foremost, many are locked in a narrow mindset that defines sex as them putting their penises into women and that’s that. There may be some oral sex going on or maybe even some fantasies about anal sex, but that’s about it. This is as far as it goes.
And it’s hard to understand such an attitude because there is so much more men could do with their bodies to enhance their sex lives and experience that glowing feeling of well-being that a satisfied and relaxed person gives out. Tantric sex can help men achieve multiple orgasms. It seems so simple and logical to think that most men would actually want to try something like this; at the very least to see if it’s possible.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to know that each time you’re having sex you’re drawing closer to your partner in your soul and also that you are bound for one of the most incredible experiences human beings are capable of? You’d think that men would jump at this in half a second. Strangely, they don’t. Probably because they don’t trust the concept and think that multiple orgasms are a myth."

Tantra Techniques in Vajrayana Buddhism
8:13 PM Posted by 4 Freedoms Energy Sex in Conscious Relationship
www.abrahamfund.com, January 6, 2009
"Tantra techniques in Vajrayana Buddhism are techniques used to attain Buddhahood. Vajrayana partially relies on various tantric techniques rooted in scriptures such as tantras and various tantric commentaries and treatises. The most important aspect of the tantric path is to ‘use the result as the Path’; which means that rather than placing full enlightenment as a goal far away in the future, one identifies with the indivisible three vajras that is, the enlightened body, speech and mind of a Buddha. The practitioner focusses on and identifies with the resultant buddha-form or ‘meditation deity’, the yidam (Tibetan) or (Sanskrit) ‘ishtadevata’. In order to achieve this self-identification with the yidam, much symbolism, ritual and visualization is used in Buddhist tantric techniques.
Detail of the mandala shown above. This is a Garbhadhatu mandala, representing Vairocana Buddha surrounded by eight Buddhas and bodhisattvas (clockwise from top: Ratnaketu, Samantabhadra, Samkusumitaraja, Manjusri, Amitabha, Avalokitesvara, Dundubhinirghosa, Maitreya).
Secrecy is a cornerstone of tantric Buddhism, simply to avoid harming oneself and others by practicing without proper guidance. It is not even allowed to explain the full symbolism and psychology of the practice to the uninitiated, which can easily lead to misunderstanding and dismissal by the uninitiated. Tantric techniques may initially appear to consist of ritualistic nonsense; however, it should only be practiced on the basis of a thorough understanding of Buddhist philosophy and strictly following the traditions."

Success Through Orgasm

"Success Through Orgasm: Sex Magic"
by Beckah Boyd
www.carrieanddanielle.com, January 11th
Sex is as old as mankind, we want it even in the most boring relationships. Couples have attained healing through sex. It’s a powerful action. And who doesn’t love the afterglow?
Everyone feels at one time or another that sex is something magical, not just in the “I love you, this was the best sex ever” sense but in the “I feel like a I could conquer anything” way. Sex magic is just as old as sex itself, many mystics and religions have believed that we are at our highest point of manifestation during the act. It’s a long held belief that you can attain anything through sexual climax — although some religious systems believe you should be brought to the point of climax but never over so that you may hold on to that energy.
What is Real Magic?
Magic is the art or science of manipulating things around you by your will alone. When you were a kid, didn’t you ever wish for something to happen so badly, or try to do a love spell and nothing happened? Not your fault, you may have been lacking the passion necessary to accomplish the goal. The oldest type of sex magic is Tantra, where two deities Shakti (feminine) and Shiva (masculine) are worshiped. Shakti and Shiva are lovers, and tantra believes that we each hold all that is needed to open the universe in us. Sex is just one of the many ways to reach it.
Tantra is more than just sexual intercourse; it’s also rituals, prayers and more. In Tantra, believers seek to tap into Prana (divine energy) that is around and inside them to bend matters to their will, much like in Western sex magic practices. Tantra has seeped into our culture but also takes part in religions such as Hinduism, Jainism, Bon and Buddhism.

Elements of Tantra Shastra
7:37 PM Posted by 4 Freedoms Energy Sex in Conscious Relationship
"ELEMENTS OF TANTRASHASTRA" Researched by Essellewww.ksontheweb.com/ift/articles
Tantrashastra talks of five tattvas or great elements: wine, meat, parched food, fruits & roots and shakti. The three kinds of wine used in Tantra texts are molasses liquor, rice liquor and the liquor from the Madhuka flower. There are also various other kinds made from the juice of the palmyra and date tree, and known by various names according to their substance and place of production. They are all declared to be equally appropriate in the worship of the god to be propitiated.
According to Tantra, the use of wine is declared appropiate in the worship of god.
Meat, again, is of three kinds, that of animals of the waters, of the earth, and of the sky. Whatever meat the disciple likes is often the offering. Only male animals should be decapitated in sacrifice. There are three kinds of Fish - Shala, Pathina and Rohita. Those which are without bones are of middle quality, whilst those which are full of bones are considered inferior but are often fried and offered to the Devi.

Tantric roots to the Vedas
8:39 PM Posted by 4 Freedoms Energy Sex in Conscious Relationship
"Tantric roots to the Vedas "by Yogi Baba Prem
yogibabaprem.sulekha.com/blog/, November 29, 2006
"While the Tantric system has often been viewed as a later development within the greater field of Hinduism; a deeper study reveals that the roots to Tantric teachings exists within the Vedas themselves. Tantric teachings are based in and as old as the Vedas itself, representing another side of the Vedic approach.
It is not realistic to expect the Vedas to contain the entire teachings of the Vedic period, but rather as Samhitas they contain the Shrutti or revelations that were given during deep meditation. This point cannot be argued, but it is important to note that there were different schools of Vedic thought and teaching. According to Panini in the Mahabhasya, there were about 100 different schools of thought pertaining to the Yajur Veda. While this can be seen as a weakness, it is in reality the strength of Hinduism. By the acceptance of different schools of thought a comprehensive system of thought and teaching is preserved. While very few schools of thought are preserved today, each one still retains its relevance, importance, and contribution. Just as westerns scholars made the mistake of assuming that Yaska and particularly Sayana were the final authorities on Vedic subjects. It is important that the modern student not become dogmatic about different schools of interpretation. Possibly all or many of the schools were correct in their Vedic approach and interpretation. This broader view makes the Vedas the most powerful and important teaching within humanity."

Tantra of Sound
7:47 PM Posted by 4 Freedoms Energy Sex in Conscious Relationship
"What is Tantra of Sound?"www.earthharmonyhome.com, January 5, 2009
"The very word conjures up exciting images of incense filled rooms, full of throbbing bodies pulsating and vibrating in various degrees of orgasmic ecstasy. Indeed, if you were to do an Internet search with the word “tantra”, you would find over a million and a half websites devoted to that word. Almost all of these sites focus upon sex. Sex is huge. Sex sells. We are a sex obsessed planet. And to many people, sex and tantra mean the same thing. This, however, is simply not true.
There is great confusion today about the word tantra, and understandably so. Depending upon the culture, tradition, viewpoint, teacher and level of awareness, “tantra” can mean different things to different people. At healing sounds we’ve investigated numerous sources and were astounded by the variety of meanings that were applied to the word tantra and the teachings behind it.
Not surprisingly, here in the West, the meaning of tantra is almost always synonymous with sex and sexual yoga, taken from specific paths and teachers in the Hindu tradition. Yet, in the Buddhist tradition—particularly Tibetan Buddhism, tantra has nothing to do with sex—at least not from the physical aspect of sexual relationships.
An internet search for the word tantra, which found over a million and a half websites advertising aspects of tantra, revealed that the vast majority of these sites centered upon sex. We speculated that at least 90% - 95% of the sites we visited involved some aspect involving sexual relations—with everything from sexual aids to sexual surrogates beings advertised. Many times these sites offered techniques for improving sexual capability in sexual relationships. Many times, however, these sites were not nearly that subtle.
Yet, in our research we also discovered sources that were of seemingly pure tantric traditions, and they were almost all adamant that tantra had little or nothing to do with sex as it is currently perceived of in the West. In Fact, the word “neo-tantra” frequently emerged when talking about these newer perceptions of tantra which many authorities considered a corruption of the word."

Why Do People Turn to Energy Healing?
6:39 PM Posted by 4 Freedoms Energy Sex in Conscious Relationship
"Self Improvement Energy Healing 101: Pranic Tantric and Reiki"www.all-content.info, January 1, 2009
"Why Do People Turn to Energy Healing?"
"Pranic, Tantric, and Reiki are considered alternative methods of healing. In spite of the availability and relative accessibility of modern medicine, how come more and more people are being drawned to them? Here are some possible reasons:
Energy healing worked where modern medicine failed.
For several reasons both explainable and unexplainable, modern medical treatment failed to heal ailments and conditions in several if not many persons. Research or data may not be able to support this statement. But for the families of the dying as well as for the dying patient, they would take the risk of using alternative methods ranging from herbals and organics, faith healers, witch doctors, and New Age healing techniques just to be get well.
People perceive modern medicine to be isolating.
Medical treatments are oftentimes focused on the disease and its causative agent, which can make a patient feel isolated and treated like a mere host of the disease. Although recent developments in hospital practice are gradually promoting the holistic treatment of a patient, the perception still persists. Unlike in energy healing, since energy and spirituality are intimately linked, the patient feels that all aspects of his health are being attended to.
Energy healing is non-obtrusive and natural thus it is safer.
Repeated surgical procedures are physically and emotionally traumatic for most patients. It is but a logical and attractive option to both patient and families to look for less stressful health interventions. Moreover, with the rising popularity of New Age religions, going natural is the way to go.
Energy healing is a good way of relieving stress.
Meditation is part and parcel of energy healing methods and this is an added come-on for highly stressed people. Moreover, sophisticated equipment is not required thus it becomes all the more convenient for students and future students of energy healing.
The battle between alternative healing and mainstream medicine continues as both present the benefits of their approach. But in the final analysis, what matters is the restoration of good health."
